Love YA Like Crazy

Welcome to Love YA Like Crazy, where Carrie and Jake rant about young adult books. Beware, there are lots of spoilers and often lots of swearing!

Jul 24, 2016

For this episode, Carrie and Jake revisit Philip Pullman's excellent 'His Dark Materials' series by reading book 2 in that series, 'The Subtle Knife'. We also announce a contest to win copies of 'Awoken' and 'Vampire Diaries', signed by us! Details can be found at 45:41 in this episode, or on our goodreads page.

Jake also gets the theme to a 90s movie stuck in his head, Carrie is right about a bunch of things, and we talk about our daemons. Spoilers abound, so we recommend reading the book before listening!

An extremely rough and approximate transcript of this episode can be found at https://www.popuparchive.com/collections/10441/items/134030 . We will try to improve it, as time allows. If you're interested in helping with the transcription of this, or of other episodes, then please let us know.

In the next episode, we'll be discussing Jesse Andrews's 2016 book 'The Haters', in which a guitarist, a bassist, and a drummer flee jazz camp to form a rock band and hit the road.
